Today my only activity was a massage. Now that's how I like to end a recovery week! Otherwise, I swam 2 hours, did 30 minutes of strenght and 7.5 hours of bike. Yesterday, I rode my TT up Oakflats in trimmed 30 seconds off my time (with heavier wheels), did the rollers over to Frost road, came back to town and finished off with a ride to Sandia casino and back. It ended up being an 80 mile ride in 4 hours. I immediately jumped in the pool and began swimming laps. Right away I realized I was bonking. I was swimming so slow. I didn't want to stop, so I had Tanya grab me a Coke. That seemed to be enough to get me through. I wasn't pretty though.
It's been more than a week since I've run. My leg feels great, but I'm going to give it at least a month. Everyone keeps suggesting I might have issues with calf compartments. Gosh, I hope that's not the case.
